Hanging non-woven wallpaper: the paste-the-wall method
Non-woven wallpaper is the easiest to hang: paste goes on the wall, not the paper, and panels come off cleanly when you redecorate.
-
1 Prepare the wall
Fill holes, sand smooth and wipe down. The wall should be clean, dry and uniform in colour.
-
2 Mark a plumb line
Draw a vertical line one panel-width from the corner using a level — never trust the corner itself to be straight.
-
3 Paste the wall
Roll adhesive onto the wall one panel-width at a time, slightly wider than the panel.
-
4 Hang the first panel
Align to your plumb line, smooth from the centre outwards with a soft brush, and trim top and bottom with a sharp blade.
-
5 Butt-join the next panels
Panels are numbered in order. Butt the edges together without overlapping and match the pattern before smoothing.
